Language not a barrier for Delhi boy Ankit Mohan

08th February 2020, Mumbai: It might come as a surprise to many that Ankit Mohan, who has a superb line up of Marathi films and essayed important characters in movies like Farzand and Fatteshikast is born and bought up in Delhi. His next Marathi film ‘Mann Fakira’ is slated for a March 2020 release and immediately after the release Ankit will begin shooting for his next Marathi film ‘Jungjauhar’; which is also slated for a 2020 release.
Hailing from Chandni Chowk in Old Delhi, participation in Roadies Season 4 was Ankit’s first brush with the entertainment industry. After which he never looked back and has done shows like Ghar Aaja Pardesi, Baseraa, Mahabharat, Kumkum Bhagya, Naagin3 and Shobha Somnath Ki. Currently, he is portraying the titular character in Zee TV’s finite series ‘Haiwaan’. Ankit also essayed the character of Shahid Kapoor’s best friend in the Bollywood film ‘Mausam’.
Ankit’s two historical films Farzand and Fateeshikast were around Maratha warrior king Shivaji and his soldiers. Ankit’s noteworthy performance breathed life into these characters. Jungjauhar is the third instalment in this series of paying tribute to these unsung Maratha heroes. Ankit Mohan has also been signed for a Marathi Web series on MX Player titled ‘Ek Thi Begum’. “I strongly feel that I have a soul connection to Maharashtra. I learnt to speak Marathi and dubbed for myself. I am open to exploring cinema in other languages as well and believe that entertainment and content should not be bounded by language barriers. I have received several offers down south and success in the Marathi industry has given me the confidence that I can entertain the audiences irrespective of the language. I will make the announcement of the project at the appropriate time” said Ankit as he signed off. 
Meanwhile, Zee TV’s Sci-Fi show ‘Haiwaan’; where Ankit Mohan was playing the titular character wrapped up its shoot recently as they shot the finale episode in Film city in Mumbai. Haiwaan had created a massive buzz with fans as India’s first Science Fiction series. Ankit took in a lot of candid pictures with the co-stars.
