When 23 million school going girls drop out schools in India
every year when they start menstruating, the case is alarming and disturbing at
the same time. Many schools in India suffer from lack of menstrual hygiene
management, unhygienic toilets, and proper awareness about menstrual cycles.
In a step to gradually eradicate this problem, to change the
mindset of people regarding menstruation, and meet the hygienic sanitary
standards in schools, Shri Radhe Guru Maa Charitable Trust, Mumbai (in
association with Blissful Women), donated free sanitary napkins to girl
students of Gokhale High School, Borivali West. Not only that, Shri Radhe Guru
Maa Charitable Trust and Blissful Women partnered together to conduct an
awareness session about sanitary hygiene as well.
This charitable act has not only provided the girls of Gokhale
High School with good quality, free -of-cost sanitary napkins, but also ensured
that there is no more secrecy, mystery or taboo about menstrual cycle and
sanitary hygiene.
Shri Radhe Maa has always been at the forefront of charity and
service - ardently believing that there is no greater service than service to
humanity. Even after thirty years of organizing thousands of educational,
medical, clothes and food related donations, Shri Radhe Maa’s life still
remains rooted in selfless charities and services - so that one day, the
vicious cycle of poverty can come to an end.
