Entrepreneurs across the globe interact and pursue business matchmaking daily, to connect with wide range of government institution, business professionals, regulators, investors, mentors that could be beneficial for the success of their start-up/ company. While there are plenty of informal matchmaking approaches available being adopted to promote such partnerships, joint ventures, or collaborations, there is a lack of a structured platform especially when two countries collaborate bilaterally to facilitate and enable technology and innovation driven partnerships.
To support and facilitate this, the Governments of India and Russia have jointly collaborated to support and facilitate the linkage of Indian & Russian companies working in different sectors on innovative technological solutions which are affordable & which can provide an impact by addressing the needs of both or either countries. In later stages, companies which are keen to collaborate can be matched with each other. The Embassy of India, Moscow (Russian Federation) along with the Department of Science and Technology (Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India), are the two nodal agencies steering this. The Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI) being the apex industry chamber from India, is implementing the TIME-IS Program, under which this initiative will be implemented. This shall forge various stakeholders to have a structure discussion (in such webinars), followed by virtual match making session.
These webinars will bring in stakeholders from the following institution and domains to share knowledge, experience and opportunities focus existing in both the countries –
● Government schemes program which the start-ups/SMEs can leverage
● Access to infrastructural support for technology development and scale through – Incubators, accelerators, and technology parks
● Industry experts/ Business commercialisation leaders will share the nuances of technology transfer, establishing new venture in a foreign country, The importance and need for a Market Research to get a sense existing trends, competition, risk, and opportunity, customer profiles, demographical, existing products- features, USP, Cost-effectiveness, user experience of the product.
● Understanding the compliance and regulation before entering a new market
● Cultivating new market share and sustaining current business through customer satisfaction
