Malti, “Naam mein hi maal hai” is the high and mighty, judgemental Mother in law of Angelina’s best friend Saroj. This character is perfectly executed and delivered by the charismatic Kalyani Chaitanya.
In the show, Malti finds out about Angelina’s phone dating operation and initially calls her a bad influence on Saroj and blames her for ruining Saroj's life. However, Saroj and Angelina unite to show her exactly what she is missing, and her greed for money wins. She melts and later starts to excel at the game she first condemned.
The series scheduled for the launch has been gaining increasing attention by the day for its wit, humour, and unconventionality. Also for bringing into OTT platforms, the term ‘Womance’ and what it means and how important it is for women to hype each other up.
