80s Love Story, Present-Day Investigation - One Truth!

A young IPS Officer Amrita Singh is set to leave the country and her job when she discovers that her father Gursevak is accused of committing a heinous crime. She sets out to unearth the truth about the past, her father, and his link to the case that changed the course of their lives. The series reveals whether the answer to this investigation – which lies in the bygone love story of Rishi and Manu – could change the relationship between Amrita and Gursevak forever.

Grahan captures the charm of the 80s as it brings alive the old-world romance of Rishi and Manu and showcases how their lives unravel as the story progresses. With high quality production and great attention to detailing, the makers have meticulously curated characters that leave a lasting impact. Along with the special focus on the looks, even the backdrop of the older Indian cities have been designed to give an authentic feel of the time.

Directed by Ranjan Chandel with Shailendra Jha as showrunner, the series features a powerhouse of talent who have all delivered exceptional performances making the series an even more intriguing watch. Actors Pavan Malhotra and Zoya Hussain have come together as a father-daughter (Amrita and Gursevak) duo of today; while actors Anshuman Pushkar and Wamiqa Gabbi (Rishi and Manu) revive old-world romance of the 80s in this drama-mystery. The series also features actors Teekam Joshi and Sahidur Rahman in pivotal roles. 

Amit Trivedi Magic

Another reason, and a good one too, that makes Grahan a must watch is Amit Trivedi and his musical genius! The National Award-winning musician has added his touch to the story by composing mesmerizing tracks – ‘Chori Chori’ and ‘O Jogiya’ that elevate the story. With the meaningful lyrics penned by Varun Grover, talented singers including Asees Kaur, Shahid Mallya, Abhijeet Srivastava and Rupali Moghe have lent their powerful voices to these tracks. The third song of the album - ‘Main Hoon Teri Parchayi’ has been written and sung by Swanand Kirkire, composed by Daniel B George with Madhubanti Bagchi also lending her voice to it.
