World Music Day: Broken but Beautiful 3, Bandish Bandits, Scam 1992 & other digital shows with excellent music album

To honour musicians and singers for the gift of music, World Music Day is celebrated on June 21 every year. Also known as Fête de la Musique, it is a day wherein we celebrate music and the power of the art, which gives meaning to many. On the occasion of World Music Day, we all have lauded the soundtracks of popular movies. However, original soundtracks from digital shows rarely get much appreciation. So today, let's take a look at some sublime music albums from our OTT shows that gave us chartbuster music.

Broken But Beautiful 3 – ALTBalaji

One of the best albums of this year, hands down, has been from ALTBalaji's kitty. Broken But Beautiful's first two seasons were especially known for their musical tracks. Whether it was Ye Kya Hua or Teri Hogaiyaan, both the tracks struck a chord with the audience. And with the third season, the makers made sure the album is still prestigious. This season, the makers had roped in giants from the music world namely Vishal Mishra, Amaal Mallik, Akhil Sachdeva, and Sandeep Patil (Sandman) to create soulful compositions like 'Tere Naal, 'Mere Liye', 'Hua Javaan', Teri Hogaiyaan’ and 'Kya Kiya Hai Tune' with some impactful lyrics which trended across various social media platforms and chartbuster lists.

Bandish Bandits – Amazon Prime Video

The Amazon Prime Video's Bandish Bandits was a romantic drama that explored the debate of music being a discipline versus a means of liberation. Thus, it was paramount for the show to have an excellent album. And it did so. The music of the show was composed by Shankar Ehsaan Loy. The 11-song soundtrack album features Divyanshu Malhotra, Tanishk S Nabar, Sameer Samant, and consists of traditional verses. The show's magnificent east-meets-west soundtrack is a solid piece of work.

The Married Woman – ALTBalaji

The Married Woman on ALTBalaji was one of the most striking projects of the year. The show featured two women romancing on the screens. However, it also featured one of the most beautiful tracks of the year. Bematlab by Amrita Bagchi is a total winner. The other tracks from the show like Dil Ki Shaakh, Khwabon Ka Aashiyan were so mesmerizing that they deserve an award right away.

Sacred Games – Netflix

Sacred Games was one of the first Indian digital series that became a rage in the country. It won't be wrong to say that the show was a trendsetter of sorts in many ways. However, not many appreciate Sacred Games' soundtrack, which to date is an absolute earworm. Given the mammoth success of the show, its soundtrack not given its due yet is criminal. Tabahi, Dhuan Dhuan, Labbon Se Chu Kar, are one of our favourites.

Scam 1992 – Sony LIV

Do we even need to talk about the craze, Scam 1192's theme song created this year? Everywhere we go, we still hear it. However, it's not just the opening track from the show that is outstanding. Other tracks from the show, Mat Kar Maya Ka Ahankar, and Do Din Ki Zindagi are underrated pieces that deserve much-needed applause. Based on Harshad Mehta's story, Scam 1992 is a visual treat and a delight for music enthusiasts.

Tell us which ones your favorite soundtrack. Make sure you watch the shows on their respective streaming platforms.
