Yoga is undoubtedly the best tool to stay healthy as it benefits physical, mental and spiritual wellbeing. On the occasion of International Yoga Day, &TV artists Himani Shivpuri (Katori Amma) from Happu Ki Ultan Paltan, Gracy Singh (Santoshi Maa) and Ashish Kadian (Indresh) from Santoshi Maa Sunaye Vrat Kathayein and Shubhangi Atre (Angoori Bhabi) from Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai share their love for Yoga and its importance in our daily lifestyle.
Himani Shivpuri (Katori Amma) from Happu Ki Ultan Paltan shares, “We all seek health and peace and nothing better than the practice of Yoga to attain these. It interconnects your body, mind and soul and takes you on a journey of self-awareness. During this uncertain time, mental wellness is the topmost priority and maintaining it should be our duty. I spend a lot of time meditating, which keeps me calm and collected, leading to a productive life. I practice pranayama like Anulom vilom and Brahmari to maintain, balance and restore physical, mental and spiritual health. On this occasion of Yoga day, I suggest everyone take out at least 15 minutes from their schedule for Yoga and feel the change themselves.” Gracy Singh (Santoshi Maa) from Santoshi Maa Sunaye Vrat Kathayein says, “Yoga manifests positivity and is my source of daily positive energy. I enjoy practising Surya Namaskar as it is by far the best way to stay fit. It has numerous benefits such as strengthening your body, relaxing your mind, improving mental focus, improving blood circulation and helps in burning excess fat. I have experienced all these changes in my body ever since I have made Yoga a part of my daily life. It creates an invisible envelope of a positive aura around you, which attract external positivity in your life. While meditating, I can connect to my spiritual self, which relaxes my mind and helps me think beyond my limits. Being an artist also widens my imagination and thought process. Practising Yoga can change your life, so I would recommend everyone, irrespective of age, to start inculcating Yoga in their lifestyle.” Ashish Kadian (Indresh) from Santoshi Maa Sunaye Vrat Kathayein shares, “I practice Yoga religiously. There is not even a day where I do not take out time for it. I have been fond of Yoga from a very young age, and I also love reading about it. Yoga is an age-old practice of India that has now garnered popularity worldwide for its various benefits. Regular practice of Yoga can strengthen the core of the body and maintaining balance. The best thing about Yoga is that it focuses on all human body elements- body, mind and soul. It makes your body strong, mentally healthy and cleanses your soul. Yoga is not just a practice but a way of life.” Shubhangi Atre (Angoori Bhabi) from Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai share, “Yoga paves a way to a better lifestyle. Due to this current pandemic scenario, where physical activity is restrictive, practising Yoga can have many benefits. It helps in improving flexibility while strengthening the core. Being a dancer allows me a lot. It has also been said that Yoga helps prevent diseases and improve the immune system if practised regularly with a proper diet. Giving time to Yoga is like giving time to yourself. In my opinion, every person should practice it for a healthy lifestyle. On this Yoga Day, let us make a resolution to make Yoga a part of our life and also to create more awareness about it among our loved ones so that we all live a healthy and happy life.”
