Sulochana a heart-warming tale of a Mother by Aishwarya Sonar and Mragendra Singh to screen at prestigious Chicago South Asian Film Festival (CSAFF)

Aishwarya Sonar, the Indian actor who will be seen in the Russo Brothers Film, The Gray Man on Netflix, has acted in a short film called "Sulochana”, the story of a mother who visits her daughter in the US, directed by Mragendra Singh. The film has been selected to screen at The Chicago South Asian Film Festival (CSAFF) in September. Sulochana is produced by 19th Cloud Productions LLC in association with ASAProductions.

Founded in 2010, the Chicago South Asian Film Festival is the largest annual South Asian event in the heartland of America, dedicated to enhancing diversity in Chicagoland through international cinema, conversation and culture. With premiere films, panel discussions, speaker series, workshops, film awards, dazzling receptions, after parties and networking events. CSAFF will run from September 25, 2021 to October 2, 2021.

Talking about the selection, Aishwarya Sonar says “When Mragendra told me about Sulochana, I was instantly drawn to the experience of being a fish out of water in a new country. I am very excited that Sulochana will be screened at CSAFF and this means a lot to the team.”

Aishwarya has previously acted in Priyanka Chopra’s production, Kaay Re Rascalaa in the role of Preeti. She is also seen in Nitishastra, with Taapsee Pannu directed by Kapil Verma. Aishwarya is currently based between Mumbai and Los Angeles.
