Budget 2022 Reaction Quote: Rajaram Solvex

 STATEMENT

“We welcome the honorable Finance Minister’s focus on the agriculture sector which is the need of the hour. Considering the unprecedented impact of the COVID pandemic on the economy, it is encouraging to see that the government has given the much needed boost to the agriculture sector with special emphasis on digitization and adoption of advanced technologies. We are looking forward to increased adoption of Kisan Drones for crop assessments, land records, spraying of insecticides are some path breaking changes towards boosting productivity in agriculture. Equipping farmers with the latest technology not only helps them to build a more prosperous life but also helps the country live up to its potential of being one of the largest agro-economy of the world.

We look forward to the rationalised scheme to increase domestic oilseed production to cut down imports, this will help the domestic industry to offer better prices to the farmers and thereby increase production of oil seeds across the country. Furthermore, the Government’s recognition of start-ups as an important contributor of the agricultural economy and facilitating their financing through NABARD will help in the growth of the farming sector and rural enterprise by enhancing farm produce value chain thus spurring the growth of agriculture sector in the country.”
