Chennai-based Garage Rock band, Skrat, is all geared to embark on the 2022 ‘Wake Up’ Tour for a LOUD celebration of its 15th anniversary with power-packed performances for their fans, old and new. The band will be performing live on March 10th, 12th and 13th in Mumbai, Delhi and Pune, respectively.
The trio includes Sriram T.T. on guitar and vocals, Jhanu Chanthar on the bass guitar and Tapass Naresh on the drums. The band came together back in 2006 and released their debut album ‘Design’ in 2010. Since then, they have gone on to release ‘Bring Out the Big Guns’ in 2013, followed by ‘The Queen’ in 2014 and recently, ‘Bison’ in 2017.
With engaging hooks, adrenaline-infused beat and high-octane performances, Skrat has garnered cult popularity thanks to unique song-writing, where they sing about dreamed up characters and their inherent struggles. For instance, its fourth studio album, 'Bison,' stars General Bison and his unlikely band of characters who battle injustices in their comic-book-style world.
While it derives its name from ‘Skrat,’ a mischievous creature that possesses gold in myths and fables, the band’s gold and riches manifest as booming, riffy, garage rock goodies. So, save your energy and get ready for a hard-hitting, foot-stomping evening with Skrat coming to your city!
