“The previous budget completely misses a roadmap for education technology (EdTech), which has had a prominent role to play in ensuring education continuity during the Coronavirus pandemic. The focus for this budget, therefore, should be imparting employable, digital, and flexible skills with a focus on skilling, reskilling, and upskilling the youth in order to be an active participant in a data-driven digital economy.”
“We hope that the budgetary allocation, especially for higher and technical education will see an increase this year, as the last two years have severely impacted both institutions and students, with a shift to the online mode. The government should announce an attractive stimulus package and provisions for the education industry to bridge the glaring gap between urban and rural populations."
