Chef Asif Abdul Qureshi and Chef Sameer Ali fight for the title of ‘Culinary Champion of the Week’

Zee Café’s Chef Vs Fridge Season 2 has been winning the hearts of the audiences with its unique concept and an excellent showcase of culinary skills. The show, every week presents the battle of the best as two professional chefs give in their best to win the title of ‘Culinary Champion of the Week’ while facing the challenges thrown to them by the judges of the show - Chef Shipra Khanna and Chef Ajay Chopra. When the mix of talent and expertise is thrown onto the deep end, what emerges is pure magic.

This Sunday, the audience will witness the battle of two chefs hailing from the lands of Nawabs- Hyderabad and Lucknow. Chef Asif Qureshi who comes with an experience of 17 years in the hospitality industry hails from Lucknow and is currently the Indian Specialty Chef at JW Marriott, Sahar, Mumbai. He will be competing against Chef Sameer Ali from Hyderabad who has gained his experience in the industry from various ventures.  As per the theme of the episode, the two Chefs will create a romantic royal dish and will be judged on ‘Taste, Innovation and Presentation’. The journey was certainly not easy as while adhering to the theme of the episode, the two also had to face the YOTD (Yantra Of The Day) challenge by Chef Shipra which was a ‘spiralizer’. Chef Sameer Ali used the spiralizer to create Spaghetti Aglio e olio and Chef Asif Qureshi used it for the salad. The biggest surprise to them was the special challenge by the boss chiller who gave them a mystery ingredient, 15 minutes after the two started cooking. As expected the ingredient by boss chiller ‘egg plant’ proved to be a googly for the two chefs making them change their plans in the mid. Did the two chefs succeed? Excited for Hyderabad Vs Lucknow? Tune in to Zee Café at 8 PM on Sunday.
