Forca Goa Foundation launches CSR plans for 2022

~Education Grant in Dhargalim takes centre-stage in Phase 1~

April 19, 2022, India: Forca Goa Foundation (FGF), a grassroots football not-for-profit, has announced plans to extend its CSR purview to include a giant Education Grant in 2022. This grant will ensure the Foundation’s continuous, sustainable commitment towards Goan education in the years to come. A medical centre, gymnasium and senior’s community centre in the Dhargalim VP area are also on the cards for this year.

To kick off the CSR initiative, FGF’s inaugural event was held on April 19, 2022 at Govt. High School Dadachiwadi, Dhargal. It was presided over by Dr Pramod Sawant, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Goa,  Mr Pravin Arlekar, MLA, Pernem and Mr Pradeep Naik, Sarpanch, Dhargalim.

Phase 1 of the plans will see 8 schools and over 2000+ children impacted in Dhargalim Smart rooms have been set up in schools which house projectors, computers, printers and sound systems. Educational aids include book cupboards, multi-purpose racks, chalkboards and storybooks. Sports kits comprise volleyball, cricket, football and badminton gear, FC Goa jerseys, chess sets and skipping ropes.

A 126.9 sq metre multipurpose hall will be built from ground up at GHS Dadachiwadi, Dhargalim which can seat 250 children and facilitate functions, events and practices for all its students and those of GPS, Dadachiwadi, Dhargalim.

Later in 2022, FGF will inaugurate a fully equipped gymnasium, a medical centre and a senior’s recreation space in the same region.

Acknowledging Forca Goa Foundation’s initiative, Dr Pramod Sawant, Hon’ble Chief Minister, Goa, said, “Organisations that demonstrate compassion in action can drive meaningful and large-scale social change. I am pleased to witness Forca Goa Foundation’s efforts towards raising our  communities. I urge more such entities to come forward and create real value for the people of Goa."

Mrs D’Sa, Principal, GHS Dadachiwadi (one of the beneficiary schools), Dhargalim mentioned, “We have been working with Forca Goa Foundation for the past few months and are extremely grateful for their efforts to truly understand what our kids need. The gifts and infrastructure will be incredibly useful to our students and are exactly suited to the requirements of our school.”
