Chef Girish Sankpal and Chef Jeewan Singh bring out the best from the coast on their plates
Zee Café’s Chef Vs Fridge is known for its quality and innovation when it comes to culinary shows in India. The show brings along unique themes in every episode and the upcoming episode will function on the theme of ‘Flavours of India's Coasts’. While the experts Chef Ajay Chopra and Chef Shipra Khanna would be seen exploring the West and East cuisines, the contestants would be given the challenge to include the flavors of at least 4 coastal regions in their final plate while also incorporating Chef Shipra’s challenge of YOTD- Yantra of The Day and Boss Chiller’s mystery ingredient. While Shipra gave the contestants a mixer grinder, the boss chiller presented various green leaves - Moringa, Banana Leaves, Haldi leaves, Colocasia, Bathua, Kulfa, Kalmi, Muli ka Patta, Haak and Lal Maath out of which at least 2 were to be used by the contestants.
The talent and years of experience came alive on the screen when the two chefs got on the cooking platforms fighting the challenges with a bang. Chef Jeewan Singh presented a plate with Salli Boti, the Parsi dish from Gujarat, tomato rice from Tamil Nadu, Meen Prichetu from Kerala and Karawari fish from Maharashtra. He also incorporated Sol Curry and Laal Maath in his final presentation. Mouthwatering, right? Do wait for the next presentation. Chef Girish Sangpal presented Kerala’s fish curry and rice, Goa style stuffed fish along with Maharashtrian Bhakhri and flavorsome laal maath bhaaji. Certainly, the combinations suggest delicious plates.
