One of the most iconic shows of all time Zindagi Gulzar Hai is painting our world red with love as it makes way to the Indian screens. As nostalgia hits us, let's take a look at some of our most favorite scenes that that live rent free in our hearts and minds
Zaroon, Kashaf & Chaand
Zaroon is known for his captivating nature, but when it comes to charming his lady love, he needs to work a little harder. He doesn't hold back in expressing his affections for Kashaf. We notice one such moment in the episode when Zaroon was observed comparing Kashaf to the splendour of the moon. It eloquently conveys the depth of Zaroon's love for Kashaf.
Kashaf : Chand Dekha hain tumne?
Zaroon : Dekh raha hoon!
Realisation of love
Zaroon and Sir Abrar have a very close relationship. This bond gives Zaroon the confidence to confide in him about his feelings for kashaf and asks him to convince Kashaf to marry him. Sir Abrar appears to be perplexed by Zaroon's decision to choose Kashaf as his life partner which compels him to question Zaroon. In this episode we finally understand the reason as to why Zaroon loves Kashaf when he says that he genuinely admires her character and ideals.
“I like kashaf’s strength of character jo meine bohot kam baki ladkiyon mein dekha hain. I really admire that about her and I have a great deal of respect for her values.”
A moment of self-realisation
Kashaf has a great deal of regard for Sir Abrar, but when he tries to persuade her to marry Zaroon, she refuses. During a meeting with Sir Abrar, a minor occurrence alters Kashaf's opinion of Zaroon. This appears to be a turning point in the plot.
“Zindagi mein kitne log hote hain jo hum par garam chai nahi girne dete? “
Dear Diary,
When you're in love, you tend to notice everything lovely about the person you're with, and Kashaf had started to notice the same thing. Kashaf had always felt she'd never fall in love, especially with someone like Zaroon, but she soon realizes that they are made for each other. Kashaf is fond of writing and she chooses to express her love for Zaroon by pouring her heart out into her diary. This is the time she realises that in no time she has fallen in love with Zaroon and she has begun to love everything about him.
"Tum mujhse poochte ho ki mujhe tumhari kaunsi baat acchi lagti hai. Main tumse kaise kahoon ki mujhe tumhari kaunsi baat acchi nahin lagti"
Lessons of life
While Kashaf is perpetually gloomy about life, her mother maintains a positive outlook, providing the plot with the necessary balance and stability. She has a significant impact on Kashaf's attitude on Zaroon, which is seen in several scenes. During one such event when she forms an opinion about him and his lack of experience in judging others, her mother makes her realise that how incorrect she is in assessing Zaroon as a human being.
"Usse insano ki pehchan hain beta, tabhi toh tum uski biwi ho."
The final scene
Zindagi Gulzar Hain is a mix of emotions, making it one of the most heartfelt dramas ever made. Zaroon and Kashaf are two very different people who decide to live together. As the story nears its conclusion Zaroon is seen joyfully playing with his girls in the closing scene, his joy knows no bounds, and we can see Kashaf watching over them from afar. Her narrative expresses her happiness, which she has finally accepted in her life and decided to embrace her life on a good note.
“Zindagi bahut si ajeeb baaton ka ek majmuan hai..ajeeb baatein, itefaqat, maujaze. Baaz dafa samajh nahi aati, agar isko ek jumle mein define karna pade, toh woh kya hoga? Zindagi Gulzar hai! Jaise Zaroon usko kahta hai”
