Piaggio Vehicles Pvt Ltd rebrands its spare parts business, announces to launch exclusive spare part retail shoppees

Pune, 28 September 2022: Piaggio Vehicles Pvt Ltd (PVPL), a 100 % subsidiary of the Italian Piaggio Group, European leader of the 2Wheeler sector and India’s leading manufacturer of small commercial vehicles on the occasion of Annual Distributors Conference 2022 announced a re-brand of its spare part business. The company also announced the launch of India’s first spare parts shoppees in the three-wheeler CV space, to ensure genuine spare part delivery, superior customer experience, and service delight. Mr. Diego Graffi, Chairman and MD, Piaggio Vehicles Pvt Ltd along with Mr. Malind Kapur, EVP, Spare part business, Piaggio Vehicles Pvt Ltd made the big reveal at their grand distributor meet in Pune. 

Along with the rebranding, PVPL will also be deploying a renewed distribution architecture for better spare part availability across the country and aims to add 100 exclusive spare part retail shoppees. The newly announced retails stores will stock genuine Piaggio Spare Parts for all Piaggio Commercial Vehicles.  In the future it intends further expansion of this initiative along with adding spare parts of various customer segments. Piaggio Original Parts are currently marketed under the POP brand name.

Mr. Malind Kapur, EVP Spare part business, Piaggio Vehicles Pvt Ltd further added, “ Piaggio has a vehicle park of more than 3.6 million in India which is a large opportunity for the spare parts business. While the opportunity for the business is large, the important part is ensuring customer connect with our business by providing original & quality parts for our customer’s vehicles. We have seen a record breaking spare parts performance in the  first half  of 2022, in which the  distributor after-market business  has grown by more than 50%. This growth is supported by various initiatives both in the front end market place and back end operations. We intend to continue on this journey of strategic initiatives along with our business partners.”
