Aaditya Thackeray and Dikshu C. Kukreja to Discuss India’s Urban Future at the Kala Ghoda Arts Festival

The conversation, moderated by Sneha Ullal Goel, will touch upon critical urban issues, their possible solutions and highlight visions for the future of Indian cities.

03/02/2023, New Delhi:

Aaditya Thackeray, MLA and former Minister of Environment and Tourism, Government of Maharashtra, will join Dikshu C. Kukreja, architect, urbanist and Managing Principal at CP Kukreja Architects, for a discussion on ‘Tale of Two Cities: Conversations on Our Collective Urban Futures’ at the upcoming Kala Ghoda Arts Festival. The conversation will take place this Sunday, 5th February, from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Max Mueller Bhavan, Mumbai.

“For a large part of our history, conversations on and around city development have been happening in silos,” says Kukreja. “As one of India’s largest cultural events, the varied cultural, social and economic milieu at the Kala Ghoda Arts Festival serves as the perfect platform to help further our mission of mainstreaming meaningful dialogue around cities.”

Moderated by design culturist and educator Sneha Ullal Goel, the discussion will revolve around critical urban issues faced by our cities and exploring possible solutions, ultimately inviting the discussants to share their vision for the future of Indian cities.

The discussion will be followed by a featurette of Tale of Two Cities – a revolutionary talk show currently airing on WION (World is One News). Presented by APL Apollo Steel Pipes, the eight-episode series follows Kukreja around the world as he sits down with Presidents, Prime Ministers, and Mayors to find common ground and shared solutions to some of the most pressing urban challenges of our times.
