World Theatre Day Celebrated by TOT Radio with Dramatic Reading of "Pordar Pechone

*Kolkata, March 27, 2024* – Tonight at 10 pm, TOT Radio will premiere a spectacular presentation in celebration of World Theatre Day, offering audiences a captivating dramatized reading of "Pordar Pechone." The play, directed by Rwitobroto Mukherjee and  written by Hindol Nandi, brings to life themes of friendship, betrayal, and mystery, captivating listeners with its intriguing narrative.
The talented cast, featuring renowned actors *Rwitobroto Mukherjee and Riddhi Sen*, alongside the emerging talents from TOT School of Drama, deliver compelling performances, immersing audiences in the world of the play.
Complementing the performances are the melodic compositions by Ishanu Chakraborty and the expert recording by Tunir Chatterjee, enhancing the experience for listeners.

*Synopsis of "Pordar Pechone":*
The drama revolves around two childhood friends, Payra and Majhi, who have joined a theatre group together. Assigned to observe a new play, "Tirandaj," adapted from Utpal Dutta's play "Tir," they engage in a conversation about becoming detectives.
Their conversation takes a mysterious turn when a senior member of the group, Biltu da, enters seeking first aid after supposedly cutting his hand on a prop arrow.
As Biltu da falls asleep in the greenroom, Payra and Majhi play a detective game, concocting a story suggesting Biltu da's death due to poison from the arrow and Savlon used for first aid. 
Their game takes an eerie turn leading to an interesting twist in the tale!
