Around 600 cyclists participated in the ride advocating sustainable
urban mobility
Mumbai, 02 June 2024: Nexzu Mobility, an innovative urban transportation solution provider, celebrates World Bicycle Day by partnering with the ‘Pedal up Mumbai’ initiative. Organized by Smart Commute Foundation & University of Mumbai – Centre of Distance & Online Education in collaboration with Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan (NYKS) Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Maharashtra & Goa State, the initiative focuses on promoting sustainable mobility options. The ride was flagged off today by Mr. Vinod Mittal, Founder, Nexzu Mobility and Mr. Chintamani Sardesai, Business Head, Nexzu Mobility, from University of Mumbai at 07:30am.
The annual event saw participation of around 600 cyclist including enthusiasts, environmental advocates, gig workers and community members to celebrate the World Bicycle Day. The ride traversed through the scenic route of the city and culminated at Sofitel Hotel in Bandra-Kurla Complex (BKC). All the participants rejoiced the shared passion for cycling and committed to promote it as a sustainable mode of transportation.
Nexzu Mobility also gave away their electric cycles to female house helps to promote women empowerment who are in pursuit of being self-dependent and earn their livelihoods.

Following the ride, all the participants were honored for their contribution towards the cycling community. Along with this, a safety and wellness session was also organized to promote safe riding amongst participants.
