CDAS holds the first ever Patient Awareness Programme on World Senior Citizens Day First of its kind initiative in Gurugram

Gurugram/ 21.08.2019: The Center of Diabetes and Allied Sciences (CDAS), a first of its kind hospital providing holistic health solutions to patients in North India, today conducted an innovative patient awareness programme for all OPD and in house patients. This programme, conducted by Dr. TRD Patro, Chairman and Head of Department, Diabetology CDAS was educative and interactive where all participating patients were informed about ill effects of diabetes and the prevention of this disease.
Diabetes in India is spreading like an epidemic with over 70 million patients. Diabetes is also a major cause of hypertension, glaucoma, diabetic food, stroke among other acute diseases in humans.
The programme revolved around the causes of the disease especially amongst elderly people and the allied treatments for holistic well being of the affected persons.
Dr. Patro said “Diabetes is spreading like a wild fire globally and India is one of the worst affected countries. The lifestyle of the younger generation is acting as a catalyst to this epidemic like situation. The numbers are scary and we, as a society need to collectively work against minimizing the spread of this disease. We at CDAS have conducted this programme for the first time and will make this a regular initiative so that we can touch as many lives as possible through this activity to substantially reduce this disease in the country.”
Taking part in this program, senior citizen Vishal Mathur said, “The program addressed by Dr. Patro on Senior Citizen's Day was very impressive especially for a person like me who is suffering from diabetes. The information provided was very important for senior citizens to be followed regularly. I thank Dr. Patro for organizing such awareness program and urge to make more and more people aware.”
CDA founded by Dr TRD Patro provides complete required and relevant treatment of diabetes under one roof. The identification of root cause and the type of diabetes helps the hospital devise a method of diabetes management, feasible and suitable to the health needs of the people. CDAS provides services with management and care for people afflicted with diabetes
