Gurugram, 5th August 2019:Stellar today organized a fitness run event at its Gurugram Infocity Phase 2 premises to help spread the message on the importance of health, work-life balance, and environment.
The event started off at around 6:00 AM, with participation of over 180 employees of the organization, who ran and walkedin harmony to demonstrate the spirit of teamwork and enthusiasm towards serving the cause.
Informally called ‘Run over Odds’, the event is based on the idea of inspiring people to make consistent efforts towards improving their health and well-being so as to be able to enjoy a stress-free, happy, and more fulfillinglife. Another motto of this initiative is to come together as a community to help preserve the environment. Alarming depletion of the green cover and poor air quality are some of the immediate effects of the deteriorating environment that call for a large-scale community effort to restore the nature.
Stellar aspires to spread thismessage and its impact -far and wide- in the community to contribute towards improving the general well-being of people, and celebrate happiness and sense of contentment.
Incidentally, the 3rd Aug edition made the third leg of Run Over Oddsevent, since it was first initiated in June 2019 to help employees attain a balanced and stress-free life while being able to enjoy their own fitness routine.
“It’s not about what we choose to do for fitness but our commitment to the choices we’ve made. At Stellar, we want to inculcate a strong culture of fitness and general well-being, and running as a simple exercise helps us enable that, as it’s easier to adopt. Run Over Odds is an initiative to celebrate the spirit of a healthy, enjoyable and well-balanced life”, said Sunil Chandna, CEO, Stellar.
The event was graced with the presence of Mr. Ravi Kalra, a renowned social activist and founder of the Earth Saviours Foundation, who joined in as the Guest of Honor for the event. His inspiring presence made the event even more purposeful and memorable.
Further, the 3rdAug running event carried over the spirit of fitness, happiness and balancein life to the cause of spreading environmental awareness. A team of CSR volunteers at Stellar initiated a Go Green project by organizing a tree-plating drive at the Aravalli on 3rd Aug.
