“Kehte hain jaane waale laut kar nahin aate. Galat kehte hain!” With this catchy one-liner, ALTBalaji dropped hints of a 2nd season for its most-iconic web series, Apharan….Sabka Katega. Amidst speculation about Apharan….Sabka Katega, Season 2 going on the floors, now some unseen footage from the last season has just been released. This unseen footage leaves audiences in further anticipation while giving yet another glimpse of some brilliant dialogue-writing which gave viewers some sassy content for memes along with Arunoday’s action sequences, Mahi’s mischievousness and Nidhi’s rustic innocence.
The action-suspense thriller, which was widely appreciated among the masses, received an IMDb rating of 9.2/10. With such high ratings and soaring popularity, ALTBalaji has all the reasons for coming up with a brand new season of this path-breaking show. This previously unseen footage from Apharan gives us one more reason to believe that the wait for season 2 might end soon. The show was packed with some dazzling performances by Arunoday Singh, Mahie Gill, Varun Badola and Nidhi Singh in the lead. For the second season, if sources are to be believed, there is a female antagonist in the second season who will take the game of Firauti a step ahead. Rumours are ripe that Mallika Sherawat and Aditi Rao Hydari are being considered for this role.
For the newbies, Apharan.…Sabka Katega, as the name suggests is a twisted tale of kidnapping. What makes this show a standout, is the fact that top cop Rudra Srivastava, is forced into kidnapping a girl at her own behest, following which nothing goes according to the plan. He finds himself getting tangled deeper and deeper, in a web of lies and intrigue, with a lot at stake. Set in the hindi heartland of the country, the original web-series truly enthralled audiences with its 70’s style masala entertainment, epic one-liners and its upbeat retro music. Throughout the first season's 12 episode run, the series was packed with intriguing twists and its gritty narrative was complemented by upbeat retro music, which added to its background as an electrifying score.
Shot at real locations in Haridwar, with the help of drones, the city plays a crucial role as events unfold in this gripping narrative. With the mood and pulse of the story being spot-on, Apaharan well and truly captured the essence of the thriller drama that they wanted to convey. Going by the clues that ALTBalaji is dropping, we cannot contain our excitement for season 2!
