The initiative has been titled as the GO GIRL GO Campaign and has been initiated with Khelo India Youth Games 2020 with the participation of 304 girl athletes.

The campaign will conduct activities in the field of sports, fitness, and nutrition at state, districts, and taluka level reaching out to all-girl athletes and creating a foundation for success. More than 11 million girl students across 100 thousand schools are going to be a part of this campaign. The primary aim of the campaign is to improve the fitness level of girls, increase their participation in sports and get them placed for National and International level competitions. The Campaign will focus on creating a conducive environment for girls at the school level. Schools will conduct fitness assessments, exclusive sports events, and personalized nutrition guidance. The role of teachers and parents is crucial for the success of the campaign, schools will conduct regular workshops to talk about the importance of fitness and sports. Special initiatives will be planned to scout talent in rural areas and support athletes who prove their talent. The campaign will be part of the Mumbai Marathon, Khelo Games, National Games and other prominent events across the country.
Senior and veteran officialsMr. Jaiprakash Duble, Joint Director, Mrs. Neelima Adsul, Assistant Director, Mr. Suhas Patil, Assistant Director, Ms. Sangita Bhosle, Sports Officer, from Department of Sports and Youth Services along with Dr. Shakha Gillian, MD, FAAP, Pediatrician, Del Mar, California and Mr. Rishikesh Kumar, CEO, XtralivingPvt Ltd; will work on this campaign under Mr. Om Prakash Bakoria, Commissioner of Sports and Youth Services, Maharashtra.
