This is a rare condition and it could be both congenital (from birth) or due to complications of long time ventilation. The surgical treatment is only the alternative as there is no medical treatment. The surgical treatment is also a complex problem where the help of Heart Lung Machine is necessary since there will not be any breathing during the procedure.  The procedure itself is very tedious and time consuming. Hence there is no centers in this country at present and the treatment of this condition is being practiced.
Since it is not been practiced there is no opportunity for doctors, especially thoracic surgeons and ENT specialists to see or acquire the practical tips for successful correction of these conditions.   It will be an opportunity for those who are interested and since it is in collaboration with Royal college of Surgeons, England they have allotted 9.5 CPD for those who attend this workshop for the 2 days.
