Mr. Pradip Kumar Banerjee, aged 83 years, was admitted in Medica Superspecialty Hospital 08.02.2020.
He is suffering from respiratory problem due to pneumonia and with underlying history of Parkinson’s Disease and Dementia and heart problem.
He underwent investigation and is being treated in the hospital by a team of doctors.
Yesterday, there has been deterioration in the health condition of Shri P.K Banerjee. He has been shifted to intensive Care and put on ventilation support yesterday evening in consultation with his family.
He is maintaining parameters post ventilation and is under close supervision of our panel of specialists comprising of Intensivist & Internal Medicine Specialist Dr Tanmay Banerjee, Pulmonologist Dr Nandini Biswas and he is also being supervised by the team of Institute of Neurosciences under the care of Dr L N Tripathy and Dr Sunandan Basu and Dr Prof Kalyan Brata Bhattacharyya. Dr Kunal Sarkar and Dr Rabin Chakraborty are also supervising the case closely on request of the family.
A multi disciplinary Medical Board was done today at 4 pm to review his conditions and progress. The Board has reviewed the ongoing treatment and are satisfied with the patient condition post ventilation.
The entire clinical team at Medica is putting its best effort towards recovery of Mr Banerjee. His family members are being updated on his health condition at regular intervals.
