Lockdown shorts: Unlocking the stories of 2020 so far.


While the Pandemic inflicted Lockdown is hitting us hard with the epiphanies in life, keeping ourselves entertained and encouraged has become quite imperative. In order to encourage the creative artist to work remotely, Lockdown shorts - a film production, distribution and aggregation brand; collaborated with creative talents from different parts of India as well as the world. The idea was conceptualised by the experienced filmmaker Ahab Jafri along with the writer-director Satish Raj Kasiredi ; motivating filmmakers to come forward and unlock the lockdown stories of their cities. Lockdown shorts has produced an anthology under the banner, HOGA Films & Make it Happen Films. Lockdown Shorts began as a film/series project, around the second week of March just when the world was under lockdown. The team of two became a troupe of more than 200 innovative collaboration across the world in the span of three months. A revolution in itself, Lockdown shorts severed all the benchmarks of filmmaking by empowering talents to work remotely and collaborate with each other from different cities/states like Kashmir, Calcutta, Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Rajasthan, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Lucknow, Pune, Himachal, Toronto, Doha, New York, Berlin, Spain, Melbourne and Yokohama.  
Filmmakers Satish Raj Kesiredi and Ahab Jafri,  currently have stated the release of their anthology  ' Love in the times of corona ' on OTT. However, the first volume of an anthology of short films: Life - Summer of 2020, is all set to release on a streaming platform by the end of September.
