Celebrity Influencers Mini Mathur & Shruti Seth Provide Encouraging Boost to RepIndia’s COVID Relief Initiatives

Amongst the most active influencers spearheading COVID response, Mini Mathur & Shruti Seth are helping the agency’s COVID 911 Instagram page to connect with thousands.

Amidst India’s brutal second COVID-19 wave, many celebrities and influencers have stepped up efforts to communicate timely response, information and aid with their huge followers and connecting people to verified medical resources. Notable amongst them have been TV host Mini Mathur and renowned actress Shruti Seth who continue to share vital information, verified leads and messages of hope, and amplify requests for aid on their social media handles.

Recently, the two joined forces with advertising agency RepIndia to push their Instagram handle, COVID 911, that shares verified and up-to-date information, to thousands of followers and their families in need. An initiative born out of the agency’s employees volunteering for relief work, COVID 911 has been successful in providing timely updates to many people from various corners of the country, with Mini Mathur and Shruti Seth actively encouraging people to follow and keep a tab on the page.

Mini Mathur, an active participant of the initiative, commented, “The only thing that really matters right now is how we can be more compassionate and united to alleviate the suffering of our citizens. Covid 911 has been a great difference maker in our fight against the pandemic, and I am truly touched with the great humanitarian effort that everyone has put into connecting people and their families with life-saving aid.”

Shruti Seth, who has also been greatly involved with RepIndia’s initiative, commented, “Hats off to this group of relentless, selfless volunteers doing some serious due diligence and helping people find resources in this time of crisis.”

Reflecting on the initiative, Ayesha Chenoy, Founder, RepIndia, said: “The last few weeks have been some of the toughest we’ve experienced, and business as usual felt irrelevant when our colleagues, our country was in distress. We used everything we learnt - everything we are to help - connecting people with the resources they need, amplifying their urgent requests, guiding them in the right direction or at times simply being there for them, to listen to them, hear them out and empathise. For me, that is what being human is about. In the years to come, I will look back at this time, knowing that we did everything we could to ease suffering in our own capacity - that we were the “strangers” who maybe, just maybe, helped. This was the best work RepIndia has ever done.”
