If you thought the Czech Republic was a beer country, then you are in for a surprise when you taste the shimmering wines this beautiful country has to offer. Usually when people hear wine, the Czech Republic isn’t the first country that comes to your mind even though wine growing and production is an old tradition which has been around for centuries in the Czech Republic. Czech and Moravian winemakers have continued these ancient traditions, and wines produced in the Czech Republic are served in even the most famous Michelin-starred restaurants in world capitals.

When it comes to vineyards, the Czech Republic is home to many however the region of South Moravia is where you will find most of the vineyards where traditions and folklore are still very much alive and connected with wine production.

Each year in the Czech Republic there are wine festivals, autumn grape harvest and many other wine celebration which you should see and experience for yourself when visiting this marvelous country.

When biking throughout the countryside of the Czech Republic wine should be your go-to drink, stop off at some of the most beautiful and picturesque wine cellars in Mikulov, Znojmo or Lednice, Prague, and the towns of Mělník or Litoměřice just outside Prague. Some of the wine cellars you can visit are Nad Sklepy, Kutná Hora wine cellars, if you like red wines, take the Velkopavlovická route, which passes through the undulating landscape of the Modré Mountains Wine cellar Úvaly, Springer Winery, Velké Žernoseky winery the list goes on. If you like white wine, you must take a trip to the historic city of Znojmo you just have to see the giant wine cellars that are located there.

Czech cities have been hosting increasing number of visitors from India, and the numbers are increasing with every passing year.
