31st August 2022 in Mumbai- After two years of subdued celebrations of Mumbai’s favorite festival Ganesh Chaturthi, Boomerang Ka Raja is leaving no stone unturned to house the biggest eco-friendly idol of Lord Ganesha at - A/204/1, Boomerang, Chandivali Farm Road, Andheri (East), Mumbai. The idol which is sized at 24ft- is the tallest eco-friendly Ganesh idol in Mumbai. The grand celebrations in its sixth year saw a massive turnout and blissful celebrations for devotees on the first day itself. Hon Governor of Maharashtra Bhagat Singh Koshyari sought the blessings of Bappa. Celebrities like Hansa Singh, Poonam Pandey, Rahul Solka, Sunita Dube, Preet Kumar, Acharya Vinod Kumar, and Raayo S. Bakhirta bowed down to Bappa. Despite the fan frenzy around them, all the guests were engrossed with eyes closed and hands folded in prayer.
This year, Namo Namo Sangathan Trust and Felda Oil Pvt. Ltd another segment with the brand name LR Active has introduced the concept of "Big Shower" where the Ganpati idol will be immersed at the same place where it is established in order to avoid causing traffic and chaos on the road.
Dr. Arun Sharma, President of Namo Namo Sangathan Trust says "It’s that time of the year when chants of ‘Ganpati Bappa Morya’ fills the air. We are all set to celebrate the Ganapati festival with all its pomp and grandeur after two years at Boomerang Ka Raja. In fact this year we have introduced a new concept of Big Shower. With the festivals comes chaos & traffic, in order to prevent that we have introduced Big Shower. It is for the first time ever that an idol will be immersed where it is established. We seek Bappa's blessings & commence 11 days of festivities, Ganpati Bappa Morya"
