Mumbai, October 20, 2022: &PriveHD has been known to bring the best of content basis the interest of viewers. To keep the love for theatrical performances alive amongst the audiences, the channel is partnering with Zee Theatre to bring acclaimed and well-loved teleplays from various genres on its property, Privé Theatre. After its first teleplay, Dance like a Man received a lot of love the channel is now bringing Lights Out this Friday, 21st October at 9pm.
Written by Manjala Padmanabhan, Lights Out brings the issue of violence against women to the living room of an ordinary, middle-class family. The play showcases a conversation between a couple about the possible reasons of periodic screams coming from their neighbourhood building. While the wife is compelled to call the police to complain against the violence, the husband reasons against it. They are later joined by their group of friends who are inclined to take action after they realize the screams are coming from a woman facing sexual assault. Each person devises a plan to help the woman escape her tormentors.
