Featuring two movies every weekend, &PrivéHD ensures entertainment in the comfort of your home.
This Saturday at 7:30 PM, the channel brings a hit from New Zealand- Hunt for the Wilderpeople. The film later gained international recognition, further establishing Taika Waititi as a talented filmmaker. It offers its unique take on the importance of connections and the power of relationships. It is the story of reclusive country folk Bella and Hector who become foster parents to Ricky, a problem child from the city. After some adjustments, things go reasonably well. However, Bella's death means that Hector must now look after Ricky himself, and they haven't been getting along. Her death causes Child Services to decide to send Ricky back to the orphanage. Ricky refuses to go back and runs away, ultimately sparking a national manhunt for him and Hector. On Sunday, at the same time comes Paprika, a fantasy drama. Three scientists at a Foundation for Psychiatric Research fail to secure a device they've invented. This device allows people to record and watch their dreams. A thief uses the device to enter people's minds, when awake, and distract them with their dreams and those of others. Chaos ensues. The trio - Chiba, Tokita, and Shima - assisted by a police inspector and by a sprite named Paprika must try to identify the thief as they ward off the thief's attacks on their psyches. Do not miss the interesting watch as dreams and reality merge in the film, while characters question the limits of science.
In the coming weekends, Prive Directors’ special will also feature films like Taxi Driver; Big Fish; Panic Room; Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon; Blade Runner 2049 and Once Upon a Time in Mexico.
