Trijog Launches #DiversifyWithTrijog, Establishes A Safe Space for Intersection of Mental health & Inclusivity

Mumbai, 26th June, 2023: In conversation with  Faye D’souza, Independent Journalist, Sushant Divigkar AKA Rani KoHEnur, Singer & Performer, Raj Mariwala, Director, Mariwala HealthcareInitiative & Karen Thompson, Brand Manager, MAC Cosmetics, Trijog, India’s #1 leading progressive platform for mental health and holistic wellbeing announced the launch of #DiversifyWithTrijog.

In a first-of-its-kind initiative to keep mental well-being as the core focus, #DiversifyWithTrijog will focus on creating safe places for diverse groups. With the first chapter launching today, Trijog kick-started the IP with keeping the  LGBTQIA+ community at the core. By bringing together a panel with the best cross-organizational representation, Trijog aims at initiating conversations that lead to long-term change.

Talking about the initiative, Arushi Sethi Shah, Co-founder & CEO, Trijog, said, “At Trijog, we are

committed to working towards making mental healthcare accessible for all. Through all our endeavors, we want to focus on building a better India, an India, where mental health conversations are not a taboo and an India where physical health and mental health are given equal importance. With #DiversifyWithTrijog, we aim to connect with representatives and communities to drive change and encourage inclusion across the spectrum. We are certain that our attempt to make an inclusive, mentally healthy and happier India will be fruitful through multiple chapters of #DiversifyWithTrijog”

Focussing on the intersection of mental health and diversity, the first chapter of #DiversifyWithTrijog was filled with conversations on media representation of the LGBTQI community, the role of corporates in implementing inclusivity and decoding what we as a community can do better to promote inclusivity.

Talking about the community and how each one can promote inclusivity, Sushant Divgikar Aka Rani KoHEnur said, “Inclusivity is the way forward- today, I am sitting here on this panel with the best of our allies from different walks of life is the first step towards integration. As we move towards a better India, leading brands, media, the community and mental health organizations coming together, having these impactful conversations will be the stepping stone to implementing impactful policies where each one is celebrated for their talent without any biases, there’s evident representation of the queer community across sectors  and we see a community where diversity is appreciated”

Commenting on diversity and inclusion , independent journalist, Faye D’Souza, said, “For me inclusion and diversity is a simple equation -  It's as simple as having equal opportunities for everyone to voice their opinions and have a proper representation - every voice needs to be heard and only when we have adequate voices, we can say that everyone is equally heard.”

Commenting on the media's role in promoting inclusivity and diversity, she added, “A few years ago, audiences were not very receptive towards the wholesome representation of the queer community across various mediums of news. But this is now changing and simplifying our role, we are taking small steps towards inclusion and acceptance. The media’s role is simple- let people own their story and tell the world - just pass the mic and let people be their most authentic and real selves.”

To cement acceptance and inclusivity across Tier II & III cities, Trijog has allocated funds to reach out to 100+ people of the community across smaller cities in India and help them champion and navigate through their mental health journey.
