Raftaar had surely put his best foot forward for his acting debut in Jio Studios’ Bajao. So much so that the rapper turned actor even stopped talking to people on set to get into his character. Talking about his prep Raftaar says, “I would stay in my zone and on set I would observe people when they would be giving takes. I would put a chair and I would just look at people and understand and constantly stay in that vibe. I would not talk much on set staying true to the character.”
He continues, “For this show, there was a lot of reference from my life. Things are a bit exaggerated in the show but mushkilon ka samna maine bhi kiya hai, udaas main bhi raha hoon, Masti main bhi karta hi hun, music se mujhe bahut pyaar hai hi. Toh yeh character bahut dur nahi tha mere self se.”
Directed by Shiva Varma and Saptaraj Chakravarty, Bajao is a crazy comedy series driven by three boys, one bindaas girl and one rapper amidst the pressures of making it and surviving in the punjabi music world pulling a satirical entertainment which is overloaded with mishaps and madness.
Bajao will start streaming on JioCinema from 25th August.
