Fashion Design
"The Reawakening" draws its mood from the MET Gala theme for the year 2024. The idea of reawakening is an attempt to give a new life to iconic concepts that have been “sleeping” for a while. This idea of rebirth is linked closely to nature. The collections presented by the students of the Fashion Designing Department explore notions of rebirth and renewal, using nature as a visual metaphor. The garments as well as accessories are carefully handcrafted by the students and explore cyclical themes breathing new life into archival stories. In light of the current environmental need the designs also highlight the importance of sustainability in the fashion industry.
