Bollywood Icon Manoj Bajpayee Offloads Mahalaxmi Apartment for Rs. 9 Crore

Renowed actor Manoj Bajpayee has recently sold his property in Mumbai’s Mahalaxmi locality for Rs. 9 crore. The transaction, reviewed by Square Yards, was registered and documented in an 'Agreement to Sell' in August this year, with a stamp duty of Rs. 54 lakh. The property is located within Minerva, a luxury residential tower in Mahalaxmi and has a carpet area of 1,247 sq. ft. (116 sq. m.). The transaction also included two car parking spaces covering 240 sq. ft. (~22 sq. m.). Developed by the Lokhandwala Kataria Constructions, the project spans 2 acres and comprises 362 units. It’s inventory includes 3 BHK and 4 BHK apartments, many of which offer views of the Arabian Sea and the Mahalaxmi Racecourse.

Residents of the Minerva benefit from a range of premium amenities, including a modern gym, swimming pool, clubhouse, spa, and landscaped gardens. The project's location in Mahalaxmi provides excellent connectivity to key business districts such as Lower Parel, Worli, and Nariman Point, making it an attractive residential choice for professionals and businesspeople. The locality is well-known for its luxury high-rises, offering a range of upscale amenities, fine dining options, and proximity to leading schools and healthcare facilities. The area remains one of South Mumbai’s most desirable neighborhoods.

According to SquareYards.comthe actor originally purchased the apartment nearly a decade ago in April 2013 for Rs. 6.40 crore, together with his wife, Shabana Bajpayee. The purchase incurred a stamp duty of Rs. 32 lakh and a registration fee of Rs. 30 thousand. This transaction is part of Bajpayee's broader real estate portfolio. Just last year, the actor invested Rs. 32 crore in four office units in Oshiwara, Mumbai, joining other Bollywood celebrities such as Amitabh Bachchan, Kajol, and Ajay Devgn, who have also invested in commercial properties.

Bajpayee has established himself as one of India's most respected and versatile actors, with three National Film Awards and the Padma Shri to his name. His roles in critically acclaimed films like Satya, Gangs of Wasseypur, and Aligarh have set high standards in the industry. Most recently, his performance in the internationally acclaimed series The Family Man has further solidified his reputation as a leading figure in Indian cinema.
