Roca Launches Ona, a High-Performance Collection Inspired by the Mediterranean in India

Ona stands out for its versatility, wide range and timeless design with soft shapes and geometric lines.

India, 5th September: Roca – an international leader in design and production of bathroom products, today announced the launch of its ONA collection in India. The Mediterranean Sea – its landscapes, lifestyles and values – inspired the creation of Ona, (Ona means “wave” in Catalan), a complete bathroom collection that offers solutions to fully equip any type of bathroom space, including basins and furniture, faucets, baths, accessories, smart toilets, WCs and bidets, combining the values of a brand that was also born on the shores of the Mediterrean. 

Developed by the Roca Design Center team in collaboration with the international design studios Noa Design and Benedito Design, the collection is defined by a Mediterranean-inspired design with soft shapes in geometric lines. 

Manufactured respecting natural materials and with a transversal approach to sustainability, Ona stands out for its versatility. It is a complete bathroom collection that combines highly functional and accessible timeless design with new standards of hygiene and comfort, making the collection highly recommended for the renovation of any bathroom space. Either main or secondary private bathrooms, hotel bathrooms and other public spaces with intensive use, Ona’s high-quality design stands the test of time. 

Fineceramic^® in basins: natural hygiene and delicate shapes  

A good example of this versatility is the wide range of basins and their combinations with the available furniture units. Designed in collaboration with Noa Design, the basins are an example of the possibilities offered by Fineceramic^®, the ceramic material that allows for finer and lighter pieces that can be adapted to any size. In addition, Fineceramic^® allows for a more sustainable production process: there is no waste, all the composites are natural and the reduction in weight has a positive impact on firing and transport, reducing CO₂ emissions. 

The basin range includes different options where the bowl is placed asymmetrically or centered to create extra useful shelf space. Over countertop basins are also available in rectangular and round shapes, in white, matt white and matt black finishes.  

The glossy white finish features the Supraglaze^® coating, providing an exceptionally smooth surface that allows microscopic residues to slide off effortlessly and prevents dirt accumulation.

Ona offers the right furniture option for each basin, with standard solutions including one drawer, two drawers or single doors. They all have a soft-close system and full extraction drawers and are available in a pure Mediterranean colour range: matt white, matt grey, dark elm, light oak and matt green.  

Faucets with character 

One of the most unique elements of Ona is a faucet with a distinguishing look, created by Benedito Design. It represents the perfect balance between design, technology, and sustainability. It stands out for its cylindrical and particularly slim body, available in different heights and spout lengths with a flat minimalist handle.  

Inside it, the Cold Start opening system, the flow limiter and a ceramic cartridge with reduced diameter guarantee greater efficiency, both in water and energy consumption.   

Ona faucets are available in four finishes: the chrome option with Evershine electrolytic coating, titanium black and rose gold Everlux PVD finishes, and the classic matt black. The range also includes versions for shower and bath (wall-mounted and built-in), kitchen and public bathrooms, with touchless operation.   

Baths and accessories, to feel closer to the Mediterranean 

The bathtubs recall a peaceful and relaxing swim in the Mediterranean thanks to their large inner dimensions and the pleasant feel of Stonex^®. Also inspired by natural resources, this exclusive Roca material is characterrised by its anti- slip properties, resistance to abrasion and durability. The collection offers built-in versions in two dimensions and models for corner-right or corner-left installation.  

Ona’s range of accessories also reflects the collection’s simple and functional character of the collection. It includes a set of countertop elements, including a tray, container, soap dispenser and tumbler, available in three matching furniture colours: matt white, matt grey and matt green. Made from recyclable materials, they have been specially designed to fit on the basin shelf or into the furniture’s standard drawers.  

Rimless toilets, maximum hygiene standards 

Discreet toilets and bidets complete the collection. All the toilets are rimless and have the option of Supraglaze^® coating, an innovation that makes cleaning easier and guarantees excellent hygiene standards. A matt black finish is now available for toilets and bidets, providing a sleek and modern aesthetic.

Ona offers toilets in various sizes, with wall-hung, close-coupled and floor-standing models, as well as compact versions and wall-hung and back-to-wall bidets. This range also features extra height for greater comfort and a larger flush button.    

In-Wash^® Ona: smart made simple

This innovative smart toilet aims to elevate the bathroom experience through a combination of advanced technology and elegant design, capturing moments of serenity and intuitive simplicity.

In-Wash^® Ona has been designed with user-friendliness in mind. It offers separate water sources for front and rear washing, adjustable temperature and pressure settings, and cutting-edge Airtech and Coanda effect drying technologies. The streamlined and customisable experience is enhanced by an easily accessible side panel and knob for personalised washing and drying functions, as well as the Roca Connect app for advanced control.

In-Wash^® Ona prioritises hygiene and cleanliness by incorporating separate water sources for front and rear washing, adjustable temperature and pressure settings, and advanced Airtech and Coanda effect drying technologies. It is also equipped with UV light self-cleaning nozzles, a descaling function for long-term performance, Roca Rimless® and Supraglaze® coating for optimal hygiene, and a heated seat function and night light with subtle illumination for a more comfortable experience.
