Today’s meeting with GST Commissioner Shri Asheesh Sharmaji and his team was highly productive. He was very receptive to the majority of our suggestions and assured us that he will issue various clarifications to streamline GST compliance issues. Additionally, he promised to forward several suggestions and recommendations to the GST Council for consideration. Commissioner Sharma also expressed a desire for regular meetings with FAM to resolve traders' issues within his capacity.
The meeting was attended by Jitendra Shah, Ashish Mehta, Pritesh Shah, Rasesh Doshi, and Jayanti Patel from FAM, along with Lalit Gandhi from MCCAI, and Bhimji Bhanusali from GROMA. Several traders were also present.
