They are like you and your family yet not exactly alike; we mean
the same, just a tad bit different. Who are they? They are the Parrs – Bob,
Helen, Dash, Violet and Jack-Jack! We first met the family of five in
Disney.Pixar’s Incredibles in 2004 and they instantly won our hearts.
With the revelation of a new baddie, Underminer, at the end of the first installment, we knew that this would not be the end for our incredible crime fighting family. However, the raging anticipation for the sequel shortly phased out since there wasn’t a bleakest news (or even rumors)aroundit. We had almost lost hope and BOOM, after 14 years, director Brad Bird delighted us with Disney Pixar’s best sequel ever with worldwide collection of more than $1.2B .

A refreshing superhero film owing to its focus on family drama, it
also shattered the same ol’ convention of family dynamics and the division of
parental responsibilities. With Mr. Incredible extending his skill set to
become an incredible stay-at-home dad and Mrs. Incredible venturing out to
salvage her identity as Elastigirl, this Pixar movie brought about a revolution
in the space of superhero franchises. Holly Hunter, who lent her voice for
Elastigirl said - “Whereas before, she was driven to become Mrs. Incredible out
of necessity, where she went into it to save her husband, I think this time she
really meets her own ambition head-on.” Good for us, no more pulling amateur,
crude humor on the state of modern superheroes.
