Chennaites embrace veganism at Express Avenue Conscious Market

Chennai, 10  November 2019: Express Avenue Mall, Chennai's award winning fashion and entertainment mall, is hosting the second edition of its two-day vegan festival- Conscious market. The aim of the event is to increase awareness about veganism by spreading the message of conscious consumerism and highlighting brands that make a positive impact on the environment.
The event was graced by Tamil actor Shweta Gai. Other popular socialites & well-known influencers from Chennai’s social circle such as Mehandi Jashnani, Aakriti Sachdev, Paloma Rao, Vimmi Deepak to name a few.
The Conscious market has it all from smoked tofu, peanut butter, jams, vegan clothes, handmade spa products, music, speakers, workshops, and demos. The stalls sell vegan-friendly and cruelty-free brand clothes, beauty products including upcycled clothes and decor. The food menu includes a vegan buffet curated by Marieen, Vegan Chef, Founder at Veggytable. A wellness workshop is also being conducted by Dr Saravanan, Nutrition & Lifestyle Medicine Expert and Ms. Nidhi Sharma, Holistic Health Coach.
Commenting on the second edition of hosting conscious market, Mr Munish Khanna, Chief revenue officer, Express Avenue, Said, "Veganism & sustainable practices are gaining a lot of momentum in Chennai. Given the current growing consciousness and a need for mindful living it is imperative for us to promote sustainable practices which will be for the greater good of the environment.
