~As slow romantic
makes a comeback this track will truly strike a chord in your heart ~
Mumbai, November
13th 2019: Relationships
in today's time are run on apps. Do we forget to connect in real ways? We're
not ready for the compromises or sacrifices, or the time and effort to invest
in someone or most importantly the willingness to communicate. All this and
lots more is beautifully captured in the new track & video by Shalmali
titled 'Ruka Ruka', presented by Big Bang
Music. The
Gaana Original will release on the 13th of November.
Shalmali, one of the most established and popular singers
of this generation has won several hearts with her chartbuster songs for
Bollywood music. Now, the Bollywood hit machine is all set with her latest Pop
single, a melodic prowess, promising a soothing yet powerful composition.
Titled, Ruka- Ruka, the song
represents the scenario of how today's relationships are. Co-curated by Shalmali, Digvijay Singh Pariyar
& Sunny MR, the song & video will be streaming
exclusively on India's No. 1 music streaming app, Gaana and Big Bang Music’s
YouTube channel. It will also be available on Radio Stations and Music TV
Channels across the country.
Shalmali has proven herself
not just as a playback singer but also as an artist who is open to experiments
and create genre defining tracks. Fully embracing her voice’s essence, the
song portrays modern day relationships and taps the complications in
communicating feelings online. Along with Shalmali, the music video also
features the supremely talented actor Aparshakti Khurana, who has been
gathering much fame and acclaim in the Industry. Stepping away from his steady
genre of comedy, Aparshakti is owning the screen with this emotionally
fulfilling romantic visual.
Speaking about her latest release, Shalmali said, “Modern relationships
are complex, it’s amusing how we may feel so alienated from our significant
other despite being
'hyper-connected’. ‘Ruka Ruka’ expresses the struggle to truly communicate
in today's relationships. I am excited to share this with the world along with
my partners at Big Bang Music & Gaana.”
Gaurav Wadhwa, CEO/Co-Founder, Big Bang
Music, stated, “At Big Bang Music we encourage
independent artists and personal expression in music.
We want to make non-film music part of the Pop culture in India through
artists like Shalmali.
Ruka Ruka has a beautiful composition and a passionate story that demands to be
heard.”
“Music has a way of speaking to
us, and heartbreak is one of the most common emotions across the world. Music
can certainly help you reconcile, and realise you’re not alone. Our
latest Gaana Original ‘Ruka Ruka’ by Shalmali
combines soulful singing with a dash of pain to
create a love song that is guaranteed to wreck
even the strongest hearts.” observed Prashan Agarwal, CEO - Gaana.
