Heartfulness Institute announces the winner of All India Essay Writing Competition Event

Kolkata, Thursday, 23 January 2020: Heartfulness, Shri Ram Chandra Mission (SRCM) in collaboration with the United Nations Information Centre for India and Bhutan and Heartfulness Education Trust hosted the 14th edition of “The All India Essay Writing Event – 2019”. The essay writing contest has been held across 25,000 institutions and it is supported by Gujarat and Rajasthan Government. More than 1 million students have participated in over 9 languages including Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Oriya, Punjabi, Tamil, and Telugu, at the state level – under Category I - Classes 9 to 12 and Category II – UG&PG in the All India Essay Writing Event.
Shri Jagdeep Dhankhar, Governor of West Bengal accompanied by his wife Smt. Sudesh Dhankhar handed over the certificates to top 3 winners from Kolkata of All India Essay Writing Event. The top 3 Winners of Essay Writing under category 1 are Durga Kumar, Shree Hanuman Balika Vidyalaya, Soumyajyoti Pal – Salt Lake School English Medium, Sneha Hazra- Dav Public School, Haldia and Category II are Kritika Surolia-Bethune College, Priti Prasad – Bethune College, Shuvajyoti Dutta- Direct Entry, Dr. Gourab Mandal- Direct Entry. The winner of essays competition chosen by eminent panel of 8 members who are educationists, PHDs, IITs or professionals.  - Revised line "The winners for essay competition were chosen by an eminent panel of 8 members comprising of educationists, PHD's, IIT's or professionals.
Commenting on the event Shri Rishabh Kothari said, we would like to congratulate the winners of All India essay writing contest, Kolkata and we are very excited to see how the youth of India participated in the All India Essay Writing. The enrolment of students every year is increasing rapidly, and we are also getting a positive response from the institution as well as the Government. We are very honoured to have the presence of Shri Jagdeep Dhankhar, Governor of West Bengal during the Award distribution ceremony.
Shri Jagdeep Dhankhar, Governor of West Bengal and his wife experienced Heartfulness Meditation. The Governor also witnessed the Brighter Minds, activities like solving Rubik’s cube, writing and identifying colours, all of this while the students were blind-folded.
This Heartfulness meditation is taking place regularly in many corporates and banks like Cognizant, TCS, UCO Bank, Allahabad Bank and in many government organisations like Eastern Railways, Kolkata Port Trust etc across many places in Bengal. The Event was graced by Mr. Charan Singh, Executive Director of one such bank.
During the event, Heartfulness institute announced to host the Dhyanotsav event in Kolkata at GD Birla Sabhaghar from 14th Feb 2020 to 16th Feb 2020. Dhyanotsav is a series of three-days free sessions that will demonstrate the importance of meditation in enhancing one’s experiences in life. These 3 days program will also be filled with Yoga, Brain Exercises, Relaxation, Rejuvenation of Mind, Meditation and Brighter mind demonstration for the audience and these sessions are conducted free of cost.
