GIIS Hadapsar celebrates Annual Day to mark its completion of 4th successful year

Pune, February 6, 2023: Global Indian International School Hadapsar campus recently celebrated its 4^th annual day for the students from the Pre-Primary, Primary and Secondary section, and it was celebrated with much gusto and ardour. The day marks an exciting time of the academic year as it marks the end of one academic year and the start of a new one. Around 800 students came together to celebrate the day with great enthusiasm.

Principal Dr. D. Lakshmi Prasanna and GMP Mentor and Co-Scholastic Head Ms. Vaishali Borde addressed the parents and the students with their inspirational words.

The annual day celebrations were spread over two days and there was an air of cheerfulness and joy engulfing the campus as students were enthusiastic to perform for their annual function and display the hard work put in by the teachers came live for this grand school function.

Day one of the celebrations commenced with much fervour. The theme of the convergence of many dreams into one world was immaculately woven into a kaleidoscopic tapestry with the threads of diligence, and determination of the students and staff culminating into a grand spectacle. 

The highlighting feature of day one was the Achievement Gallery, which showcased the outstanding accomplishments of the students followed by articulate allocution by the Principal, Dr. D. Lakshmi Prasanna welcoming the galaxy of stars and enumerating the achievements of students through the Annual Report. This was also followed by a felicitation ceremony showcasing the academic brilliance of the students for academics and parents for parental competitions was worthy of praise. 

While day one ended on a high note, the students of the primary and secondary section were already brimming with excitement for the celebrations of day two to commence. The theme for the cultural show on day two was ‘GIIS KE NAVRATAN’ which glorified the holistic initiation the school has on the overall development of a child as a global citizen through the 9 GEMS pedagogy. A virtual prize distribution ceremony was also held to boost the morale of the students, to applaud and reward the students for their sincere efforts during the previous academic session.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Rajiv Bansal, Director-Operations, GIIS India said that “We are extremely delighted to complete one more fantastic year. It is an incredibly proud and emotional moment for all of us as it was a delight to witness the students showcase their talent and passion in such a creative manner. Annual Day is an occasion that everyone looks forward to at GIIS. Our motive behind organizing this is to give students an opportunity to engage in creative activities which will showcase their hidden talent and to also appreciate the hard work put in by them throughout the year”.

The grand annual day celebrations ended with a vote of thanks which was delivered by Sharmishta Sen, Sec Coordinator who acknowledged the efforts of the students, teachers, and supporting staff and thanked the esteemed guests for their precious time and presence.
