Chennai, 15 February 2023: Leading Tamil General Entertainment Channel – Zee Tamil - has presented several unique and entertaining shows since its inception. However, one truly intriguing aspect of each family drama that the audience has fallen in love with is the unique relationship between a mother-in-law (MIL) and her daughter-in-law (DIL) in each of these Zee Tamil shows! In fact, we’ve seen several different kinds of equations being shared by a MIL and a DIL on several shows, however, it seems that Zee Tamil has a surprise in store for its viewers once again. The channel is all set to introduce a fresh new narrative that will showcase a truly distinct relationship between a head-strong yet simple girl and her superficial yet beauty-obsessed mother-in-law in Seetha Raman, which premieres on 20th February 2023 and airs every Monday to Saturday at 7.30 pm, only on Zee Tamil!
For the uninitiated, Seetha Raman revolves around an ordinary-looking girl, Seetha, who is outspoken, upright, honest, and full of life. She is also a skilled tailor who is good at stitching and has an excellent sense of design. However, the biggest news is that Seetha will be played by none other than Roja-fame Priyanka. Raman, on the other hand, is played by Juje D’souza. An upright and honest man, Raman has been managing his mother’s humungous textile empire. However, he aspires to become a police officer against his mother’s wishes.
Reshma who plays Mahalakshmi (Raman’s mother), is shown as a person who is fond of all her children, but she wants to get her son married to the most beautiful girl in town. She is truly obsessed with superficial beauty and absolutely hates anything that isn’t beautiful. With Seetha getting married to Raman in an expected manner, Mahalakshmi is left fuming. In fact, she does not even accept Seetha as her daughter-in-law, and all this is because she doesn’t match up to her expectation.
How Seetha tries to win her husband’s heart and his family members forms the crux of the story. Get ready to watch Seetha Raman from 20th Feb, Monday onwards at 7.30 pm.
