At USD 2.5 Billion, Q2 2024 institutional investment in Indian real estate touches a 3-year high - Colliers

warehousing segment witnessed about half of the total inflows in the first half of 2024. Interestingly, institutional investments in the segment for H1 2024 is almost twice the inflows in the entirety of 2023. With India's Manufacturing Purchasing Managers' (PMI) Index staying close to 60.0 in the last few months, investor confidence in the industrial & warehousing segment is likely to remain strong in throughout 2024. Furthermore, strategic infrastructure projects such as Dedicated Freight Corridors (DFCs) & Bharatmala and robust government policies such as National Logistics Policy, underscore substantial long-term growth opportunities for the industrial & warehousing segment in India,” said Vimal Nadar, Senior Director and Head of Research, Colliers India.

Bengaluru and Delhi NCR together drove about 23% of the quarterly inflows

 

While at 72% share, multi-city deals continued to drive majority of the investment inflows during Q2 2024, Bengaluru and Delhi NCR together corresponded to about 23% of the total inflows during the quarter driven by foreign investments. About 56% of the quarterly inflows in Bengaluru were directed towards residential assets, followed by the office segment. Investments in the office segment were particularly strong in Delhi-NCR. Led by inflows into the office segment, Delhi NCR witnessed about 86% YoY rise in investment inflows during Q2 2024.

Actor Lakshay Khurana from ‘Ishq Jabariya’ Finds Playing Positive Roles 'More Challenging' Than Negative Ones

Sun Network recently launched their Hindi General Entertainment Channel (GEC), Sun Neo. Along with the channel, they introduced several new shows, including 'Ishq Jabariya' featuring talented actors like Kamya Panjabi, Lakshay Khurana and Siddhi Sharma.Playing a positive role for the first time on hindi television, actor Laksh Khurana who is seen essaying the lead role of Aditya spoke about his excitement and challenges he faced while taking on this project. 

While speaking on his take on playing Aditya, Lakshay said, "Playing a negative role is much easier for me than playing a positive one. In negative roles, I have a lot more freedom to explore and express the character. However, when playing a positive role, I have to be much more careful and thoughtful, especially in scenes where I need to show anger. There's always a fear that if I overdo it, the character might come across as negative."
 
He further added, “I find playing a negative character very comfortable. I can simply go on set, read my lines, and perform with ease. It's exciting, and I love it," he explained. "On the other hand, in my current show ‘Ishq Jabariya’, I am playing a positive character, which I sometimes find challenging. The positive role requires more effort and precision from me, but I believe I am doing my best."

From Singapore to Europe, DPS Indirapuram’s Students Embark on an Enticing Educational Tour

DPS Indirapuram organized two international tours for its students to broaden their cultural and educational perspectives. The two trips covered Singapore, Malaysia, and the iconic sites in Europe. The students immersed themselves in each destination's rich traditions and vibrant atmospheres, from the bustling cities to their architectural marvels.
Students ventured to Singapore and Malaysia from 31st May to 7th June 2024, experiencing seven days of cultural discovery, educational enrichment, and culinary delight. They marvelled at iconic landmarks such as Marina Bay, Little India, and Chinatown in Singapore. Exciting adventures at Sentosa Island, Universal Studios, and the serene Gardens by the Bay left lasting impressions. In Malaysia, the group explored Johor Bahru and Kuala Lumpur, enjoying luxurious stays and visiting notable sites like the Batu Caves and KLCC Tower. Seamless travel and scenic drives enriched their journey. Meanwhile, visits to educational hubs like the NeWater Visitor Centre, URA, Stem Workshop, Batik Painting Session and cultural landmarks added depth to their experience
Another group comprising 19 students and 2 teachers embarked on a 9-day educational tour across Europe from 10th June to 19th June 2024. The trip covered Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and France. The journey included a guided bicycle tour of Munich, a visit to the BMW museum, and an exploration of Innsbruck and the Swarovski Crystal World in Austria. The group also visited a cuckoo clock factory and the Rhine Falls en route to Zurich. The students enjoyed excursions to Mt. Titlis and Lucerne in Switzerland, and the tour concluded in Paris with visits to the Eiffel Tower, a Seine River Cruise, and a day at Disneyland Paris.

The 13-piece act cleverly introduced themselves to the Glastonbury audience through an hour-long set alongside a live band. WOOZI of SEVENTEEN kicked off the show playing a piano intro of their single “MAESTRO” before the rest of the members joined him on stage for a power-packed performance.
