Water Drive -“Life Depends on Water; The Reservoir Depends on you.”

Mumbai, 24^th April 2019:  A majority of Indians do not get sufficient or clean water. To spread the importance/awareness of Water in the world a Water Donation drive was organized by Dr. Naavnidhi. K. Wadhwa, founder and coach, Rapid Evolution, as well as Mrs. Asia Woman of Universe 2018, in Mumbai city on the 24^th April 2019. The purpose of the event was to provide water that is essential for all living beings, be it a homeless person or a pedestrian or someone sitting in the comfort of their luxury car.

Irrespective of the sun shining down during the hottest time of the day, Dr. Naavnidhi stood with her team and handed out water bottles to the homeless, the students, the office goers, the drives and passengers too!

The water drive started off in Goregaon West and moved up to Malad West covering six different locations such as bus stops, signals, crossings, road-side eateries and also pavements that have been long occupied by the homeless and the hawkers. She also found a container lying alongside the footpath and did not hesitate before using that to serve some water to the stray dog that had been sitting in the same position for quite some time.

“Mere karm hi meripehchaanhai, chehrekakyahai, wo to mere saath hi chalajayega”, said Dr. Naavnidhi during her water drive, part of a much larger donation drive that she started on 14^th February, when she donated clothes to the underprivileged, followed by blankets in march, and owing to the boiling hot temperatures this month of April and May, she held a water donation drive.

Most of us take the availability of water for granted but to some water may be as precious as gold. The ones who do this, fail to understand that there is someone who might be craving for one drop of water that we are wasting and that every drop matters. We carelessly waste water even though we know the consequences but we do nothing about it. The support of a community or an individual for Water Distribution Drive can help the team fulfill their motive to spread awareness and to provide drinking water to all of them who need it.

Food, clothing and shelter are the basic need of a human being and water is one of the essential fluids that humans need to survive. So, let’s come together and save lives of all the people who deserve to live just like us. One small gesture would not just save lives but shall also spread love and happiness.
