Travelling with Emirates and Deutsche Bahn is easy, with great rates on train tickets for all Emirates customers travelling to Munich, Düsseldorf, Hamburg and Frankfurt.
Booking Procedure:
Departure origin must be Germany.Rail tickets from and to the relevant departure/arrival airport using the entire rail network of Deutsche Bahn (excluding Thalys, DB Autozug, Sonderzüge - chartered train). The high speed train ‘ICE’ is also included. Customers can only travel from/to stations within Germany. However, Rail&Fly is also possible for the following stations at no additional charge: Salzburg/Austria/Basel/Switzerland
Booking :
9B segment booked using pseudo city code QYG (for any domestic city) with international itinerary on EK.
Example: QYG - FRA - DXB - FRA - QYG. Or BOM –DXB – FRA- QYG – FRA –DXB –BOM
A 9B segment can only be booked and ticketed in conjunction with an Emirates flight segment only.
DB Ticketing & Printing Procedure
Once the IET is issued, an Order code or Pickup number is generated and appended to the PNR in the OTHS field.
This Order Code / Pickup number is used for retrieving the train ticket from the vending machines at the train station.When the 9B ticket is picked up from the vending machine, status of the 9B coupon changes from Open to Flown.If there is a return 9B segment in the itinerary, the IET coupon for that segment will remain in Open status till the passenger retrieves the train ticket for that segment with the same PIN number.
Train ticket must be retrieved not before 72 hours from departure.

1. Can the railway journey be combined with all types of tickets?
1.Yes other than rebated Tickets or Free Tickets
2. Can passengers take a stopover in FRA/MUC/DUS/HAM, before they commence the
rail journey?
2.Yes, passengers can avail a short stopover in FRA, MUC, DUS or HAM provided they reach the final onward destination within 2 days of boarding their train.
3. Is there any restriction on the number of stops the passenger can take on his onward or return rail journey?
3.Journeys in the direction of the respective destination and timetable related detours are permitted.
4. What if passenger decides to buy the rail ticket on arrival in Germany can he get the same rates?
4. No. These railway tickets will have to be issued with the air ticket.
5. Are there any extra facilities available for passengers travelling on First Class in Rail?
5.Yes in F/class compartments drinks and snacks will be served at seat (extra costs to be paid by passenger). On the Inter City Express (ICE trains) which travels at a speed of 260 km/hr, in-seat TV screens are available. Seats are in general more spacious and comfortable.
6. Can a passenger choose to buy the railway ticket for only one-way journey?

8. What to do when there is a change to the date of travel and/or route?
8. It is now mandatory to rebook the train segment, if flight segments are changed or rebooked! The pick-up numbers will remain the same, but the travel dates will be updated in the vending machine of Deutsche Bahn. Alternatively, the passenger is to present the new itinerary and the printed ticket to the nearest DB Travel Centre. There, a relevant endorsement will be made on the ticket. The ticket is not valid on the train without this additional endorsement. For this reason, passengers should not collect their ticket until shortly before departure.
