Dr. S K Mahapatra, Director, Jaipuria School of Business started his discourse with a feeling of nostalgia as he welcomed yet another batch of bright young minds to JSB. He advised students to work hard and made them aware of the saying that Genius is 10 percent aspiration and 90 percent perspiration.
The next speaker was Shri Shishir Jaipuria, Chairman, Jaipuria Group of Educational Institutes who started his speech by congratulating the students for joining the PGDM program. He noted the fact that the students have come from different states and asked them whether they were comfortable at JSB. He then touched upon the history of JSB which is 11 years old. However, he went on to say that in 2007 other positive changes were taking place as well. Revolutionary technology such as cloud computing and machine learning had come up at that time. The point was that the Education Sector has to keep reinventing itself so that the benefits of the positive changes can accrue to the students.

Noida and its initiatives to capitalize on its strengths and achieve great heights. He advised the students to understand their strengths and start adding value to the same. He also advised students to keep life simple and not to complicate things.
The next speaker was Mr. Prabhakar Singh, Director General, CPWD, Govt. of India.  He welcomed the students and advised them to take things in a positive way and learn the importance of communication of ideas. He put in a word of caution as well; he said that unless they are passionately motivated, the chances of success will not be much in practical life. He asked students to stay innovative. He believed that the same ideas would not work every day. He advised students to find out their own way of doing things.
