Abhishek, Urwashi to lead field in Otters Club Squash


Mumbai 31st July:  Some of the top Men's, Women's and Juinor players of the country will be seen in action in the Otters Club Open Squash Tournament 2019 to be played at the Otters Club squash courts from 5th to 10th August. 
The tournament will be organised under the aegis of SRFI and Maharashtra Squash Rackets Association and co-sponsored by Mahindra Rise   
Mumbai's Abhishek Pradhan, current India No. 5 will be the top seed in the Men's category while defending champion and current India No.3 Urwashi Joshi will lead the field for Women in the Open category.  Abhay Singh who is the current India No. 10 is seeded second, while Sachika Balvani who is ranked 9th in India is the women's second seed.
The junior tournament will be played in the under 11 to 19 categories and there will be a special category for Men over 45. 
In the Boy's U-19 category, Rahul Baitha and Tushar Shahani ranked No 3 & 5 in India will be the top two seeds, while in the girls U-19, India No 2 and defending champion Jannia Singh will lead the field followed by Tanaya M Parakh, who is ranked 5th in the country. 
The tournament will see participation from 400+ players and will offer total prize money of 5.65 Lakhs. Varun Agarwal is the Organising Chairman for the tournament and Suman Shukla is the Championship Director
