Tech Mahindra Foundation and East Delhi Municipal Corporation launch Mobile Science Lab

New Delhi – November 21, 2019: Tech Mahindra Foundation (TMF), the Corporate Social Responsibility arm of Tech Mahindra, a leading provider of digital transformation, consulting and business reengineering services and solutions, today announced the launch of a ‘Mobile Science Lab’ on the occasion of World Children's Day. As part of the In-Service Teacher Education Institute (ITEI) which is a Private Partnership (PPP) between the East Delhi Municipal Corporation (EDMC) and Tech Mahindra Foundation, the Mobile Science Lab is aimed at ensuring continuous professional development of teachers and students to create happier classrooms. Equipped with scientific equipment, the unique lab will reach out to approx. 1800 children of Grades 3 to 5 in the 17 EDMC schools, thus enabling them to delve more on the subject of environmental studies. The Mobile Science Lab was inaugurated by the Chief Guest - Ms. Anju Kamalkant, Mayor, East Delhi Municipal Corporation.
Also present at the event were - Honorable Deputy Mayor of EDMC, Mr. Sanjay Goyal; Honorable Chairman Education Committee Mr. Rajkumar Ballan; Additional Director of Education Dr. Seema Sharma; Assistant Director of Education (Research and Extension) Mr. Sanjay Goyal; Assistant Director of Education, Ms. Sudha Rani; School Inspector, Mr. Dhruv Shah; Mr. Ravi Kumar, Mr. Meher Singh Chauhan; Principal Vinod Kumar and representatives from the Tech Mahindra Foundation - Sajid Ali, Barkha Samant, Prachi, Reeva and Tanish.
