This Doctor’s Day Bollywood celebrities celebrate the real heroes who have made lakhs of recoveries possible.

~There’s no better time than now to take a minute to acknowledge and appreciate the efforts of all the doctors around the globe.~
Traditionally, doctors don’t have to risk their own lives to save others. But that’s what it has come to today - doctors, nurses and paramedics are all on the frontline of a war against COVID-19. Fighting the battle against an enemy that can’t even be seen by the naked eye, so that we can stay safe at home. Many doctors and nurses are coming out of retirement to join this fight as well.
Tring steppe
d up during this unprecedented challenge of Covid19 with a charity campaign, #WarAgainstCovid19 and has successfully raised donations for more than 20,000 PPE kits. Tring has built and stabilized a momentum with the help of renowned Bollywood personalities like Vidya Balan, Dia Mirza, Farhan Akhtar, Sonakshi Sinha, Vir Das, Ali Fazal, Richa Chadha, Pooja Hegde, Mrunal Thakur, Mandira Bedi; Kiku Sharda and sports celebrities like Harbhajan Singh, Harsha Bhogle, amongst others; generously supported by personalities like Atul Kasbekar and Manish Mundra. These celebrities have come forward to offer their support and are also urging their fans to help raise donations for the heroes of our nation, a true reflection of the solidarity phrase ‘we are all in it together’.
July 1st is observed as Doctor’s Day in India and there’s no better time than now to hail the efforts of our frontline heroes. On this occasion Bollywood celebrities like Dia Mirza, Vidya Balan, Ali Fazal, Sonakshi Sinha, Harsha Bhogale, Harbhajan Singh and Pooja Hegde offer their gratitude to the doctors, nurses and paramedics by claiming to be their biggest fans. Because we all know it’s not just their time, skill and energy that they’ve offered. No, many have had to isolate from their families because they spend all day long in the company of patients who have an extremely contagious infection. While some of them are given PPE (government-mandated Personal Protective Equipment for medical professionals), while there was a shortage of it our celebrities in association with Tring helped them raise donations for PPE kits.
This is what actress Vidya Balan has to say while expressing her gratitude “Hello, Doctor, thank you so much for being out there in this global pandemic and for serving us citizens and saving our lives. I am your biggest fan, really thank you so much for your courage and dedication, I am just grateful to have had this opportunity to do my little bit in this difficult time. Also, my heartfelt thanks to all our donors who came forward and supported us in raising 20,000 PPE kits for our frontline workers across the country. You inspire me and so many more everyday, thank you again for that. Stay safe, take care. You are in my thoughts and prayers everyday. Jai Hind! ”

And on a day like this, in times like these, we wake up to news articles about how more doctors are now being evicted for this very contribution. People fear that these doctors may bring back the virus to their home and their localities. While our fear may be very real, so is their exhaustion and relief at making it back home.
Tring co-founder, Akshay Saini says – “We are grateful to the superstars who have relentlessly supported this campaign and helped in protecting over 20,000 frontline medical staff across India from the Coronavirus. The celebrities have not only donated personally but also urged their fans to donate PPE kits. The superstars have then personally expressed their gratitude to the donors thru video calls, personalized video messages or mentioning and thanking the donors publicly on their social media.”
